At Madrasatut Tarbiyah, education extends beyond textbooks. Our extracurricular and co-curricular programmes are designed to build faith, discipline, creativity, and leadership—helping students grow as balanced individuals who embody ʿIlm, Taqwā, and Akhlaq.
All activities are guided by Islamic values and supervised by trained mentors who ensure that learning remains purposeful and ethical.
1. Clubs and Societies
- Debating Club
– Develops critical thinking, reasoning, and confident public speaking.
– Encourages respectful dialogue and articulation of ideas from an Islamic perspective. - Art & Calligraphy Club
– Promotes creativity through drawing, painting, and Islamic calligraphy.
– Focuses on Arabic lettering, geometric design, and Qurʾānic art reflecting Iḥsān. - Science & Innovation Club
– Engages students in experiments, model-building, and scientific discovery.
– Links modern science with Qurʾānic reflection on creation (Tafakkur fil-Kawn). - Robotics & Coding Club
– Introduces design thinking, coding, and robotics.
– Integrates ethics in technology, inspired by Islamic responsibility (Amānah). - Language & Literature Society
– Encourages mastery of English, Arabic, and Bangla through writing, storytelling, and drama.
– Hosts Qurʾānic recitation-inspired poetry and Arabic elocution contests.
2. Sports and Physical Education
- Major Sports: Football, Cricket, Basketball, and Athletics.
– Structured weekly training promoting fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
– Coaching in accordance with Sunnah principles of health and fair play. - Annual Sports Day
– A celebration of physical excellence and discipline.
– Includes track and field, obstacle races, and house competitions. - Martial Arts & Self-Defense (Optional)

3. Islamic Activities
- Qurʾān Recitation & Tajwīd Competitions
– Encourage excellence in memorisation and fluency.
– Inspire love for the Qurʾān and reverence for its language. - Islamic Knowledge Olympiad
– Friendly competitions in Fiqh, ʿAqīdah, Sīrah, and History.
– Designed to make learning Islam engaging and relevant. Seerah Olympiad
– Annual competition on the life of the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions.
– Encourages students to study, memorise, and present key events from the Seerah.
– Includes written quizzes, oral storytelling, and creative projects (art, drama, nasheed).
– Builds love for the Prophet ﷺ and practical understanding of Islamic leadership, mercy, and service.Ḥadīth & Qur’an Study Circles
– Weekly halaqah sessions for reflection on Qur’anic verses and authentic ḥadīth.
– Guided by teachers to explain meanings, vocabulary, and moral lessons.
– Encourages discussion on applying Qur’anic and Prophetic teachings in daily life.
– Strengthens Arabic comprehension, memorisation, and spiritual growth.
– Fosters unity, humility, and community spirit within the madrasah- Weekly Assembly (Tarbiyah Hour)
– Short talks, Qurʾān reflections, nasheeds, and group dhikr to nurture spiritual growth.
4. Leadership and Community Service
- Student Leadership Council
– Roles such as House Captains, Class Representatives, and Prefects.
– Leadership workshops on communication, ethics, and decision-making. - Community Service & Khidmah Programmes
– Environmental drives (Green Madrasah initiative), charity collections, and volunteering in local communities.
